Dear international teachers,
当前，中国发生的新型冠状病毒感染的肺炎疫情牵动着每个人的心，与此同时，中国正在全国范围内积极采取措施控制疫情扩散蔓延，广西也已经启动了突发公共卫生事件一级响应。学校对此高度重视，始终把校内外每一位外专外教的身体健康和生命安全放在首位，为共同防控疫情，现向广大外专外教作出如下通知：
Currently, everyone is concerned with the outbreak of the pneumonia caused by a new strain of coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in China. Meanwhile, lots of control and prevention measures have been taken in China. First-level public health emergency response has been activated in Guangxi. Guangxi Normal University (GXNU) has attached great importance to the safety and health of all international teachers. In order to effectively fight against novel coronavirus jointly, we would like to offer the following suggestions:
1.全广西高校2月24日前不得开学，具体开学时间学校将视情况研究决定后提前通知。
Colleges and universities in Guangxi are not allowed to start school before February 24th. The specific date of GXNU’s new semester will be notified in advance after the decision is made depending on the situation.
2.凡从广西区外（不仅限于湖北省）返桂的人员，要求自行隔离14天，这是医学专家提出，用以切断感染的可能源头与途径。
Anyone returning from places outside Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, not just Hubei Province, is required to self-isolate for a period of 14 days from the time they came back from other places. It is a professional requirement by medical specialists, which will cut off both the source and the means of possible infection.
3. 请留在桂林的外专外教通过官方渠道关注官方机构（如：国家卫生健康委、中国日报）了解健康防病知识。切勿惊慌，不传谣。同时请采取防护措施，外出戴口罩，勤洗手，请勿去人群集中的地方。
International teachers, who stay in China, please read notices on China’s epidemic prevention through official channels
(http://www.nhc.gov.cn/; https://www.chinadaily.com.cn/).
Please do not panic. Do not spread rumors. Also, please take precautions. If you have to go outside, please wear a face mask, and wash your hands from time to time. DO NOT go to those crowded places.
4. 寒假留在中国的外专外教请勿到异地旅行，请勿聚会聚餐。建议留在校内，如确需外出，请戴口罩。
International teachers staying in China, please DO NOT travel to other cities in China, NOR organize parties. It is better to stay just on campus. If it is necessary to go out of campus, please wear a face mask.
5. 外专外教可自主决定是否回到其本国。如欲回国，请向陈耀恒副院长（手机号 15296809691）或者谢潇瑭老师（手机号18077365566）报告行程。
It is up to the individual teachers to decide whether you will stay in China or return to your home country. But please report your itinerary to Vice Dean Mr. Chen Yaoheng (15296809691) or Stella (18077365566).
6. 学院为国际教师提供在线免费心理疏导课程，国际教育交流中心前台为国际教师提供急需用的口罩、体温测量和免费WIFI服务，并每天做好电梯、沙发、公共场所的卫生、消毒、可疑人员隔离等防控病毒传染的相关工作。学校食堂已经开餐，确保国际教师用餐，学校也确保国际教师宿舍用水、用电和网络畅通。
CICE provides free online psychological counseling course for international teachers. The reception of the International Education Center provides face masks, body temperature measurement and free WIFI services for international teachers. We will do better in the sanitation, disinfection and isolation of suspected cases in elevators, sofas and public places every day to prevent and control virus transmission. The University canteens open to ensure that foreign teachers can have your meals there. The University also ensures that water, electricity and Internet work well in international teachers' dormitories.
7. 保险公司已启动外专外教感染冠状病毒应急预案。如感到不适，发热、咳嗽等，请到指定医院发热门诊就诊。
The insurance company has activated the international teachers infection coronavirus emergency plan. If you have symptoms like fever, cough, please go to the fever outpatient of relevant hospitals.
